Sant Kabir has this amazing couplet:
Dukh me sumiran sab kare, Sukh me kare na koi
Jo sukh sumiran kare, Dukh kahe ko hoye kabi
When do people look to the heavens? Only when things are going wrong of course.
Sant Kabir says, that if we remember God when we are happy instead, then there will be no sorrow in the first place!
